Lighea - Donnafugata

Ruby red colored, Fragore offers an ample and deep bouquet with notes of wild blackberry and forest floor that blend with balsamic, mineral (flint) and tobacco nuances. Due to its complexity and structure with important tannins, together with its remarkable persistence, this cru from Contrada Montelaguardia is an authentic expression of volcanic energy.

Anthìlia has a yellow straw color. The nose offers a fresh and fragrant bouquet with notes of white pulp fruit (peach) combined with hints of wildflowers. In the mouth, we find the evident fruity note, refreshed by a pleasant sapidity. The finish has good persistence.

Ripasso is the traditional method where the Valpolicella wine is re-macereted on the pomace from the dried Amarone grapes. The wine is aged in 500/1000 lt oak barrels for 18 months.

Lenz & Markus have lived and breathed Gruener for their entire life. When they decided to start this exciting new project ( NEW CHAPTER ), they went on the Mission to enhance this Austrian treasure in order to make it even more delicate for the international wine lover.
